On behalf of the Wisconsin School Counselor Association Board I want to extend a warm invitation for you to attend this year’s WSCA Conference. Over the past few years our  February WSCA conference, the largest state conference with over 1,200 attendees annually, has been focused on assisting school counselors as they integrate the Wisconsin Comprehensive School Counseling Model into their practice. Each year conference attendees have returned to their work updated and energized.

This year the conference focus is the science of being a school counselor, best practices and use of data, and the art of school counseling blended to develop creative responses, programs and practices that will improve the lives of our students.  The integration of the creative aspects required of counseling along with the ability to provide evidence based practice will move the profession of school counseling into the next decade.

I am excited about the opportunities that await us at the 2011 WSCA conference. I look forward to learning with you in February.
