2012 Candidate Packet 

The Wisconsin School Counselor Association, a professional organization focused on School Counseling, education and educational leadership, encourages you to serve on the WSCA board of directors .

Wisconsin, like many states, is at a budgetary cross road and school districts are facing critical educational decisions. It vital that WSCA continue to lead on a state and national level during these new challenges.

We are currently seeking nominations for Vice President-elect (2 year commitment) for Elementary, Middle School, High School and Post Secondary. We are also seeking nominations for President-elect (3 year commitment).

Thank you for your willingness to offer your leadership to the Wisconsin School Counselor Association (WSCA).  There are over 1000 members who own; the association that benefit from the leadership of the WSCA board.  Your willingness to be a candidate for an elected position on the WSCA board is an indicator of you passion for school counseling, as well as your desire to provide leadership and direction toward strengthening the position of school counselors across the state.

In order to better understand the current direction of WSCA, it would also be good to review the current workplan of the board found on the WSCA website at www.wscaweb.org/site/workplan.asp

Each candidate must complete the following requests and return the information electronically to admin@wscaweb.org  no later than Jan. 1st

  1. A candidate registration form (PDF)
  2. A one page resume
  3. A picture in jpeg format that is no smaller than 2 ½ “ x 3”
  4. A 250 word candidate statement
  5. Must be a WSCA member in order to be a candidate.  If you are not currently a member, please go to www.wscaweb.org/site/join.asp
