School Counseling Team Award

Celebrates a school counseling team whose collective advocacy, leadership, systemic change efforts, and collaboration make a measurable difference for all students. Teams demonstrate the power of working together toward a shared purpose, integrating each team member’s strengths to impact systemic change that addresses students academic, social/emotional, and career development needs. Through unified action and shared responsibility, the team achieves measurable, positive outcomes supported by data and examples that have a lasting impact on student achievement and school communities.


Nomination Questions:

*At least one member of a team nominated must be a member of WSCA to be eligible to win.*

1) How did the team of school counselors work together to integrate advocacy, leadership, systemic change, and collaboration into a program to benefit students? Please include the team’s purpose, each team member’s role, and provide examples of how working in collaboration created meaningful change impacting students.

2) Describe how the school counseling team’s collective efforts positively impacted student achievement in either the academic, social/emotional, or career domains. Provide specific examples, supported by data, that show measurable outcomes and demonstrate the team’s lasting impact.
