WSCA's First Ever Virtual School Counselor Career & Job Fair!

WSCA has heard from schools and districts that they are seeking to hire school counselors for the 2021-2022 school year. In response, WSCA is hosting it’s first ever virtual school counselor career and job fair to connect school counselors with potential employers.

For Interested Applicants

Are you looking for a great school counseling position?  WSCA is utilizing it’s great net of connections throughout the state to bring together schools and districts looking to hire school counselors for the 2021-2022 school year.

There will be a schedule of school & district presentations sharing information about counselor vacancies that they have available.  Employers will also have staff available in breakout rooms from 11am-4pm to answer any questions you might have.

List of participating schools and districts will be updated soon, along with schedule information regarding the specific presentations.

  • Cochrane-Fountain City Schools
    • Level(s): K-12
    • Presentation time: 11:00am
    • Additional information: Come join the pirate crew!
      The Cochrane-Fountain City School District, located along the mighty Mississippi, is looking for a new crew member with expertise in K-12 school counseling. We offer a bounty of treasure such as excellent health and dental benefits, the WI retirement system (yes! a pension – they still exist), and summers off!   • Greendale Schools

    • Additional information: We are hiring a High School counselor, and may also have elementary level opportunities available as well.
  • Madison Metropolitan School District
    • Level(s): 6-12
    • Presentation time: 1:30pm
  • Middleton Cross-Plains Area School District
    • Level(s): 9-12
    • Additional information: This position will have a reduced caseload and be the primary coordinator of our district and Statewide assessments.
  • School District of Fort Atkinson
    • Level(s): 6-12
  • Wausau School District
    • Level(s): K-12
    • Presentation time: 1:00pm
    • Additional information: The Wausau School District is proposing a 4 million dollar referendum for additional pupil service members.  If the referendum passes, on April 6th, there will be postings in WECAN by April 16th.
  • Kewaskum High School
    • Level(s): 9-12
    • Presentation time: 1:15pm
    • Additional information: This will be a full-time high school counseling position beginning in the 2021-22 school year. Kewaskum High School strives to provide purposeful learning for all students through the career pathway model.

For Employers

Registered districts/schools will have an assigned breakout room for drop in Q&A from 11:00am-4:00pm. Districts/schools can also sign up to give a 15 minute presentation on your job offerings and your school communities to attendees. Presentation times are limited and are based on availability.

This event will be promoted to school counseling graduate students who are graduating in the class of 2021 as well as practicing school counselors looking for new positions. As the state association of school counselors, WSCA is in the perfect position to help facilitate connections with these candidates.
