Online Learning: The Psychology of Addictive Technology

This online learning session explores the psychological mechanisms behind why many students spend so much time on smartphones, apps, and video games. Participants will gain insight into how apps and devices are intentionally engineered to capture attention, and how this impacts student focus, behavior, and well-being. The session will conclude with actionable recommendations for home and school-based strategies to promote healthier tech habits and support student self-regulation in an increasingly digital world.
