Keynote Speakers
Fareedah Shaheed
November 6, 2025
Opening Keynote
Fareedah Shaheed (aka CyberFareedah) was once a teen who loved being on her phone. Today, she is a Forbes 30 Under 30 Internet Safety Expert whose passion is helping parents keep their children safe online.
As a teen, unbeknown to her parents, she connected with a predator online who portrayed himself as a trustworthy friend. She was seconds away from running away from home when, at the last minute, she decided to confide in her mom. The conversation they had that day changed her life forever and inspired the work she does today.
Inspired by these experiences, Fareedah developed the SAFE Method—a unique approach to teaching internet safety that emphasizes the need for creating safe spaces between parent and child as the cornerstone of protecting kids online.
Fareedah has a professional background in cybersecurity and threat intelligence. She has shared insights with companies like Mozilla, H&M, FedEx, Common Sense Networks, Love146, and NASA. Her work has also been featured in Cisco, CNN, The Wall Street Journal, Fortune, NASDAQ, FOX 46, NBC4, Yahoo!, and more.
Fareedah’s most fulfilling moments are connecting with loving parents and educators. She’s passionate about helping guide connections with each child so that together we can create a safer digital world for all children!
