Difficult Conversations

In a world where communication is key, it is important that we not only create relationships, but work to maintain positive relationships when challenges occur. Conversations can be difficult whether it’s addressing behavior issues with a student or navigating disagreements with colleagues and stakeholders. These conversations can be uncomfortable and even tense, but avoiding them only leads to bigger problems. We will explore strategies to approach difficult conversations with empathy and openness, and techniques to maintain healthy relationships even in challenging situations. These practical tools and real-life examples, will leave you feeling empowered to tackle any conversation with confidence, and build stronger connections with those around you.

About Ashley Wright

You’re Invited!

Please consider joining us for the National School Counseling Week’s Breakfast Event! This is the fourth annual Breakfast event that the Wisconsin School Counselor Association has hosted, and this provides us an opportunity mid-year to connect as professionals and colleagues (especially since our annual conference has moved to November). We look forward to continuing this new tradition!

This year, we are focusing on the high value that a cohesive relationship between School Counselors and Administration brings to our schools. As an association, we highly anticipate our Keynote speaker XXXX’ address- they will certainly be inspiring, and will invigorate our passion for our work as educators! I personally hope that we can experience this speaker together, and continue the conversation afterwards and provide the best support we can for our students.

Check out the details on the Wisconsin School Counselor Association’s website at /nscw-breakfast-2024/.

We also understand that times are busy right now- if you can’t make it to the live event with me, you are able to watch the keynote afterwards if you register in advance. Then, we can meet and talk about it together!

Please let me know what thoughts or questions you have, and I look forward to engaging in this opportunity with you,

XXXX
