Opening Keynote
Molly Hudgens is in her 21st year as a school counselor and member of the Crisis Management and Leadership Team at Sycamore Middle School in Pleasant View, Tennessee. Her handling of a student with a loaded handgun prevented a school shooting in 2016, and her book, Recognizing Red Flags, serves as a training tool in education, law enforcement, juvenile probation, and juvenile court. With countless awards such as the local Middle School Teacher of the Year, Excellence in School Counseling, and a Congressional Medal of Honor Citi zens Honor, Hudgens strives to bring mental health awareness to schools.

Dr. John W. Hodge is president and co-founder of Urban Learning and Leadership Center (ULLC), an organization focused on student achievement and reduction of the achievement gap. Dr. Hodge’s presentations are often “the spark” for schools in their quest to meet and exceed state/federal accreditation standards and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
